Meet South Florida's Tech Talent and Fastest Growing Technology Companies at the 2016 Technology Awards program. Enjoy a cocktail reception and hors d'oeuvres with carving stations followed by an awards program with tasty desserts. Meet the CIO finalists and winners and watch as we countdown the fastest growing tech companies from number 25 to 1.

The CIO Awards honors chief information officers who lead their organizations in delivering business value and innovative use of IT in the private company sector and the public company sector. The awards will recognize South Florida-based CIOs who have demonstrated these key characteristics:

• Ability to work productively with business partners

• Alignment of technology direction with the company's strategy

• Innovation either internally or in the form of new products or services

• Growth in their information technology team

• Demonstration of strong leadership

• Involvement in their community

In addition to the public company and private company categories, one CIO Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented.

Eligibility requirements:  All candidates should perform the top technology executive role at their company, regardless of their title (ie: CIO, CTO, VP of Information Technology, etc.)  The company must have a minimum of 10 employees and be in business for a minimum of two full years.

The mission of the CIO Council of South Florida is to enhance community awareness of Information Technology issues through education and communication. The participation of Chief Information Officers (CIO’s) from South Florida’s commercial business, government, and educational institutions create opportunities for these executives to grow their respective organizations and provide personal growth as well. The Council provides a forum for an open exchange of ideas, collaboration on issues of mutual importance, leveraged vendor relationships, and focused community involvement.
