Announcing Jean Hill Panel Member for The State of The CIO LIVE! – A Transformative Technology Leader, and Strategist

We are thrilled to announce Jean Hill as a panel member for the State of the CIO 2024. With a remarkable career spanning over 25 years, Jean brings a wealth of experience and insight into the realms of corporate performance improvement, digital transformation, and technology leadership.

As a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Corporate Performance Improvement in Miami and the National Solution Leader for CPI’s Digital and Technology Services practice, Jean has been at the forefront of initiatives that not only reimagine enterprise strategy but also leverage technology to drive transformative change and outstanding results.

Jean’s expertise in leading complex engagements and delivering actionable plans to ignite change, address leadership gaps, and drive value is unparalleled. Her work spans across multiple business contexts, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), enterprise transformations, and periods of rapid growth, making her an invaluable asset to our panel. Her current role at A&M involves working with a $30 billion financial services company to establish new capabilities in an effective and compliant manner, including a multi-business line transformation aimed at improving overall regulatory compliance. This is just a glimpse of the impactful work Jean is involved in.

Notably, Jean has also developed and implemented a strategy for a major healthcare provider that introduced a new sourcing model, revamped their technology offerings, and restructured their technology organization, leading to $400 million in savings. These achievements highlight her ability to drive significant cost savings while enhancing efficiency and technological innovation.

Before her tenure at A&M, Jean served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at First New York Securities, where she played a pivotal role in transforming the business from a proprietary trading shop into a full-fledged asset management company. This transformation was supported by a technology platform that Jean built from the ground up. Her experience also includes senior roles at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Merrill Lynch, and DLJ. As a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, Jean led both its global wealth and institutional technology services organizations, where she created and implemented managed-services models with strategic partners, resulting in steady service improvements and savings of more than $100 million.

Jean’s educational background is as impressive as her professional journey. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and a J.D. from Fordham University and is admitted to the New York Bar. An active Cornell alum, Jean serves on the Cornell Council, the President’s Council of Cornell Women, and the Advisory Board for the Cornell undergraduate business program. Furthermore, her commitment to workforce development and diversity in the workplace is evident through her role on the Board of Directors for Per Scholas, a workforce development non-profit, and her frequent participation in diversity forums and events.

Jean Hill’s inclusion as a panel member for the State of the CIO 2024 promises to bring a depth of knowledge, experience, and passion for technology and transformation that will undoubtedly enrich the discussions and insights shared at the event. We eagerly look forward to the perspectives and leadership lessons she will share, further illuminating the path for CIOs and technology leaders navigating the complexities of today’s digital landscape.
