Gary Brantley is an experienced technology executive and the current Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the National Football League (NFL). With over two decades of leadership across both the public and private sectors, he brings a strong combination of innovation, strategic vision, and hands-on technical expertise to the NFL. In his role, he leads initiatives in digital transformation, football technology, marketing technology, and enterprise IT operations.

Before joining the NFL, Gary served as the CIO of Beazer Homes and the CIO of the City of Atlanta, where he spearheaded key initiatives that modernized the city’s IT infrastructure, strengthened cybersecurity defenses, and implemented innovative technology solutions to enhance civic engagement. His work played a critical role in positioning Atlanta as a leader in smart city development and reinforced his reputation for transformative IT leadership.

Gary’s career also includes significant contributions to the healthcare and education sectors, where he consistently delivered solutions that improved digital accessibility and optimized operational efficiency. He is known for his emphasis on collaboration and talent development, creating dynamic and inclusive environments that foster innovation and drive measurable outcomes.

In addition to his executive leadership, Gary is the author of The Art of Organizational Transformation and holds a degree in Computer Information Systems. With over two decades of experience, André has led large-scale technology initiatives including the implementation of Hard Rock’s Unity Loyalty program, which integrated over 10,000 systems across 74 countries and Hard Rock’s diverse companies. He also led a 150,000-user Salesforce deployment, the integration of Marriott and Starwood’s engagement platforms in the largest hospitality merger in history, and the implementation of AI-driven customer engagement solutions. His expertise spans AI, cloud computing, DevOps, digital transformation, and enterprise architecture. A recognized industry leader, André has received multiple honors, including the Oracle President’s Cup for Customer Satisfaction and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Award for Outstanding Dedication. She earned a Masters, Telecommunications and NetworksMasters from Florida International University. Luis holds a BA degree in Computer Sciences and Economics from Duke University, an MS degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Miami and an M.B.A. degree from the University of Miami.

The CIO Council of South Florida is excited to present the 19th Annual State of the CIO on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, Pembroke Pines

The State of the CIO is the premier event for technology leaders in South Florida, bringing together over 400 top CIOs and senior IT leaders from across the region. This event is a unique opportunity for attendees to discuss, learn, and network with their peers in the industry.

The conference features a CIO-Only Executive Breakfast, a keynote address, and a panel discussion, all tailored to the needs of CIOs and Executive IT leaders. The conference will cover the latest trends and topics in technology, and provide valuable insights and strategies for attendees to take back to their organizations.

In addition to learning and networking opportunities, the State of the CIO also serves as a platform to support the next generation of technology leaders. The CIO Council will award the Miami-Dade County Public Schools scholarship winners at the event, supporting them in their pursuit of STEM careers.
